for the disposal of sewage in Savannah. As in any coastal community, this was a very real problem to the area and a potential

The collection consists of one letter, dated October 13, 1827, written by Thomasson de Lamassée in Savannah, Georgia to the
Superintendents for Public Health at Marseilles. He describes the local conditions surrounding the yellow fever outbreak in
the Savannah area, including the lack of precautions by citizens, poor ventilation in homes, and the lack of monitoring of
the disease by authorities. He indicates that he has shared with local doctors the idea that the disease is the result of
local conditions, and not contagious.

The collection consists of the papers of Wymberley Wormsloe De Renne and the members of his family, especially Mrs. De Renne
and their son Kentwyn. Materials that cover all family members include over seventy years of family correspondence and general
materials such as clippings, accounts, invitations, and notebooks. Mrs. De Renne's materials are mainly administraive in nature
and reflect her interests and can be found among the series for the Association of Georgia Artists and the Garden Club of
Georgia. Kentwyn De Renne's materials include correspondence from the 1940s-1950s and miscellaneous materials. A large amount
of material can be found in the financial materials section which has not described beyond year spans. Additionally there
is a series for Inigo De Renne, and a small amount of images and miscellaneous relating to the family's activities.

The collection consists of correspondence, genealogical information, writings, financial papers, printed material, scrapbooks,
photographs, deeds, and transcripts and copies of historical documents. Much of the Craig Barrow correspondence deals with
his involvement with the Savannah Boxing Commission, Savannah Golf Club, Central of Georgia Railway, and the University of
Georgia Alumni Society. The family correspondence contains letters regarding the Barrow property called the Home Place in
Oglethorpe County, Georgia. There is much emphasis on Savannah, the Wormsloe estate, and Georgia history in both printed material
and photographs. A large section of the financial papers concerns the real estate owned by the Barrows in Savannah and details
the sale, rental, and management of the properties.
